Hey there! My name is Lauren and I'm just your vivacious, quirky, and petite 29 year old with an appreciation for mixing patterns, colors, and textures or selecting a sole standout piece to embellish a simpler ensemble made up of staple articles of clothing.
I have a special interest/involvement in political activism, and I'm actually chronically ill and rely on 2 surgical feedings tubes in my abdomen and a central line in my chest for nutrition. Disability advocacy is a major component in stances I take and also heavily influences my personal fashion choices now, as accessible clothing choices are an absolute necessity for me to continue with my daily regimen whilst maintaining comfort and instilling confidence in my appearance.
My favorite ways to unwind tend to focus on artistic and intellectual expressions, such as photography including self-portraiture, creating handmade greeting cards, and writing free style poems or reflective passages that I often pair with a photo I've taken or a mini series of photographs. You'll also catch me re-watching tv shows more than once if I feel like they're just right to adopt as my "comfortable background noise".
I'm an avid heated blanket user, hoarder of endless files on my phone camera roll, occasional concert attender, and encourager of authentic representations of the self both in person and online (the positives, negatives, and every experience in between).
I don't have a lot of energy each day, but I always try to put it towards the things that matter.
